On a wave of change - this was the slogan of the 12th edition of the Real Estate Market Forum. A slogan extremely relevant to what is happening in the real estate market, the housing market, in mortgages, in the economy, in Ukraine and on our border. Change and the difficulty of predicting its consequences was by far the main theme of all discussions at this year's conference.

The event opened with a keynote lecture by FRN 22's special guest, Stefan Batory Foundation board chairman Edwin Bendyk, under the telling title "The world after the war. Possible scenarios." The theme of the lecture, and especially its conclusion - reasons why it is possible and even necessary to look to the future with optimism and hope - seemed to permeate all discussions of the conference, both in the residential and commercial hall.

It may not be easy in these interesting times, but the condition of Polish companies in the broadly defined real estate sector, the potential of Polish municipalities - those popular and newly discovered by developers - the intense, though often not easy discussions, of the industry with local governments, allow to calm somewhat the mood, agitated by the events of recent months.

Other speakers on the stages of the Real Estate Market Forum 2022 in Sopot included: Deputy Mayor of Poznan Bartosz Guss, President of Jelenia Gora Jerzy Luzniak (later voted by participants as the best speaker of this edition of the Forum), Mayor of Częstochowa Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw Michał Olszewski, Deputy Mayor of Sopot Marcin Skwierawski, First Deputy Mayor of Katowice Bogumił Sobula, Second Deputy Mayor of Olsztyn Halina Zaborowska-Boruch.

This year's edition of the Forum had a record turnout, with more than 600 people taking part in panel discussions and workshops. Participants of the event had the opportunity to arrange business meetings using the Match Maker platform and talk in the evening in an informal atmosphere. An additional form of networking was a cruise on the Baltic Sea organized by Forum Partner Premium Yachting. Those willing could look at the world and business from a different perspective while soaking up the Sopot sun.
